FlightsFlights are to Copenhagen Airport. There are direct flights from many cities. For information on cheap tickets to Copenhagen Airport, click here. Transport to and from Copenhagen Airport is extremely efficient with choices between buses, taxis, the underground metro and trains from right outside the terminal building. See "Getting around" below for more transport information. Remember to pick up a free map of Copenhagen and of the public transport system, if you are planning to use them. You can get these at the information desk, in the airport arrivals lounge.
Getting aroundFor detailed information on getting around, click here. Copenhageners are spoiled for choice when it comes to public transport. The buses, trains and the underground metro are an integrated system, so if you are planning on using them a lot, we would recommend you buying a 2-Zone clip card (klip kort), which can be used on all of three types of transport. You can buy this at the train ticket office (DSB) in the airport and in many other shops and supermarkets. Make sure you clip your card before entering the train or metro in one of the yellow clipping machines (with the bus, you clip it as you enter the bus). Copenhageners tend to be very helpful and speak very good English, so you shouldn't have a problem, if you ask! To know which buses, trains or metros are best to take from one destination to another, go to www.rejseplanen.dk which also has an English link. Taxis are also plentiful and efficient. If you can't find one on the street, call: Codan Taxi, tel.: (+45) 70 25 25 25, Hovedstadens Taxi, tel.: (+45) 38 77 77 77, Taxa 4 x 35, tel.: (+45) 35 35 35 35 or Taxamotor A/S, tel.: (+45) 38 10 10 10. For details on taxi prices, click here. If you want to be truly local, then you should rent a bicycle! September is a perfect month for cycling and Copenhagen is one of the world's best cycling cities - you will see why when you come! Just make sure that you stop at bus stops if passengers are boarding or alighting and remember to lock your bike if you leave it. You can hire a bike from: Københavns Cykelbørs, Gothersgade 157, tel: (+45) 3314 0717 or Københavns Cykler, Central Station, tel: (+45) 3333 8613, website: www.rentabike.dk. Click here for more information.
Conference venues and how to get thereThe two conference venues, Rigshospitalet and Panum Instittutet, are right next to each other on the same street, Blegdamsvej, divided by a major traffic light junction.
Please take note that neither Rigshospitalet nor Panum Instittutet have any association with the conference, other than an external rental contract of their facilities. The program content is neither related to nor endorsed by these two institutions. Friday 19th September:
Rigshospitalet (The National University Hospital), Auditorium 1, Blegdamsvej 9, 2100 Copenhagen Ø, Denmark. Go through the main entrance (Hovedindgang), turn right, following the sign for Auditorium 1. Turn left at the next corridor and walk through the café. Turn left again at the end and walk through the short corridor to the auditorium complex. Registration is only on the first day you come to the conference. Your name badge is your proof of registration and you will need to show it when you collect your refreshments and lunch. Vis stort kort
Parking: Parking at Rigshospitalet during the day until 14.45 is reserved for hospital use only. After 14.45 there is limited parking at the hospital. Otherwise, there is street parking around the hospital, mostly with parking meters. Public Transport:There is no train station close by these two venues (Rigshospitalet and Panum Institutet), but there are buses. Just ask the bus driver if you are not sure where to get off. They are usually very helpful, as are the passengers! The bus number stopping on Blegdamsvej is the 3A and it is very regular. You can use www.rejseplanen.dk to help you find the best way to get from one destination to another. There is a link in English.

Cancellations until the 30th of June, receive a 75% refund. Between the 1st of July and the 31st of July, 50% of your payment will be refunded. From the 1st of August, there is unfortunately no refund. To cancel, please email Melissa with your bank details and IBAN no. or SWIFT address, if outside of Denmark. Any bank charges will be incurred by you. Registration is non-refundable on absence of attendance.
In the event of cancellations/changes to parts of the program, refunds are not awarded. However, QHS will do everything to find an alternative as close to the original as possible. The same enthusiasm applies, if it should be necessary to change the event’s venue(s).
In the unlikely event of complete cancellation of the conference, only a part-refund can be offered, as the conference is a non-profit event. This is when cancellation is caused by situations outside of QHS or for which QHS are responsible for and, despite appropriate care, QHS have been unable to predict. This is also applicable for force majeure or situations similar to force majeure.
If you registered to the conference online properly, then you should have received a confirmation email at the time you registered. You should also have received at least one newsletter from us with information about the conference and specifically addressed to you as a Conference Participant. If you have not received either of those, then you are not registered.
This does not apply to those who have reserved a place, after sign-up was closed on Friday 12 September.
There is still a chance to come, if you are not registered, but without lunch and refreshments. Just email Melissa (see Contact page).
